How to Unlock Arastas

Arastas is part of the main Act 4 storyline, but if you attempt to Path of Exile 2 Currency enter too early, you'll find all exits blocked.

To properly unlock Arastas, you must first complete:

Whakapanu Island
Shrike Island
Abandoned Prison

Each of these locations contains bosses that drop weapon components required by the Hooded One. Once all required pieces are collected, Arastas becomes fully accessible, and progression resumes normally.

PoE 2 Interlude Acts Explained

After completing Act 4, players move into the Interlude chapters, which replace the old Cruel difficulty system. These Interludes revisit familiar regions with entirely new layouts, enemies, and bosses.

The Interludes include:

Ogham
Vastiri Desert
Utzaal Jungle Regions

Each Interlude can be completed in any order, and all must be finished to unlock the Atlas endgame. Expect around 20 new zones and 12 additional boss fights across these chapters.

Ogham Interlude - Recruit the Ezomytes

The Curse of Holten quest focuses on lifting a spreading darkness over Ogham.

Key reward:

+2 Passive Skill Points for defeating Oswin, the Dread Warden in Wolvenhold

While Ogham offers fewer permanent upgrades than other Interludes, it contains multiple side bosses worth farming for cheap Path of Exile 2 Orbs loot and experience.
