For instance, the first episode of "House of Cards" Season 4 now streams at significantly reduced bitrates—720p at 910 kbps and 1080p at 1620 kbps—compared to previous rates of 2350 kbps and 4300 kbps, respectively.

Additional noteworthy updates include:

CenturyLink, which has experienced a steady decline since November, now ranks at the bottom of the U.S. list with an average speed of 1.53 Mbps. Interestingly, Costa Rica's average speed in March was slightly higher at 1.87 Mbps, making it the slowest among tracked countries.
In Germany, Kabel Deutschland's ranking dropped from first to fourth place, with an average speed decreasing from 3.87 Mbps to 3.61 Mbps over the past month.
Meanwhile, Virgin Media in Ireland improved its standing, ascending from third to first place with average speeds increasing from 2.46 Mbps to 3.37 Mbps.
