Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has won the Golden Joystick Awards 2025, which is whatever, I guess. It's one of those things that happens every now and then in the gaming world. You know, awards and all that, but honestly, who really cares?
GamesRadar has been buzzing about it, but I’m just sitting here, feeling pretty indifferent. Sure, it’s nice for the developers and all, but it doesn’t really change the fact that I’ll probably be playing the same old games anyway.
The award shows are kind of a big deal for some people, but for me, it's just another reason to scroll through my feeds without really paying attention. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 being the big winner feels like just another day in the gaming industry. They always crown a "winner," but does it really impact how I play or enjoy games? Not really.
To be fair, the game might be fantastic or whatever, but the hype surrounding these awards often feels exaggerated. Everyone gets all excited, but after the confetti settles, it’s just more gaming news that fades into the background noise. I’m not saying the game doesn’t deserve some recognition, but the excitement around awards tends to come and go without me even noticing.
I mean, this time next month, we might not even remember that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 exists. So, it won a shiny trophy. Big deal. I’ll probably still be waiting for the next big release or just replaying my old favorites.

But for those of us who are a bit more laid-back about these things, it’s just another reminder that gaming is full of ups and downs, and sometimes it’s just nice to sit back and not get too invested in the hype.
