¡A seguir vibra-ndo!

  • So, some former top Google researchers decided to create a new kind of AI agent. Apparently, the mission is to teach these models how to build code better, which is supposed to lead us to superintelligent AI. Sounds pretty ambitious or, I don't know, maybe just another project that will take ages without much excitement.

I mean, it's not like we haven't heard about AI breakthroughs before. This feels like just another step in a long line of tech advancements that end up being more hype than actual change. Sure, superintelligent AI might be an interesting concept, but who knows when or if it will actually happen.

They say teaching models to understand coding is essential, and I guess it makes sense. Better coding means better software, or whatever. But honestly, this whole thing sounds like an endless cycle of research papers and tech jargon that most people won't even care about.

You can only get so excited about AI when it feels like the same discussions keep coming back around. Sure, it's cool that brilliant minds are working on this, but the reality is that these developments take years, if not decades, to actually materialize into something useful.

In the meantime, we’re stuck waiting and watching, with just a hint of curiosity mixed with a lot of boredom. Will this new AI agent change anything significant? Maybe. Or maybe it’ll just be another footnote in tech history that we’ll look back on and go, “Oh, yeah, I remember that.” Not exactly riveting stuff.

So, yeah, that’s where we are with this new AI project. Just another day in the life of tech advancements that promise a lot but often deliver little in a reasonable timeframe. Time will tell if this leads anywhere, but for now, I guess we're just going to sit back and see what happens.

  • So, I guess we have to talk about GitHub Copilot and how it’s not really your coding partner. I mean, it sounds cool on paper, but let’s be honest, it’s just another AI tool trying to fit into our coding lives.

These days, AI is everywhere. It’s like, you can’t escape it. You hear about it in software development, especially with all these buzzwords like eXtreme Programming and Pair Programming floating around. Then comes GitHub Copilot, claiming to be the new buddy you never asked for. But really, is it that great? Not really feeling it.

Pair Programming used to be about two people working together, sharing ideas, and getting things done. Now it’s like we have this AI sidekick that doesn’t quite get the human touch. Sure, it can suggest some code snippets or help with debugging, but do we really need a robot to tell us what to do? Sometimes it feels like just another layer of complexity in an already complicated process.

I’ve tried using it a few times, and it’s kind of a mix of helpful and annoying. You’re typing away, and then it throws a suggestion at you that doesn’t really match what you’re thinking. It’s like when you’re halfway through a conversation, and someone just jumps in with a random comment that doesn’t fit. You end up just ignoring it and going back to your own thoughts. So, is GitHub Copilot your coding partner? Nah, not really. More like a distant acquaintance who pops up now and then to remind you of their existence.

It’s almost like a reflection of how we’re all feeling these days—overwhelmed by tech and just wanting to get things done without all the fuss. Coding is already a challenge, and adding an AI tool that doesn’t quite understand your style or preferences just makes it feel heavier. Sometimes I wish it was simpler, you know? Just get in, write your code, and get out without all this extra noise.

In the end, maybe GitHub Copilot has its place, but it’s not the partner we were hoping for. It’s there, but it doesn’t really contribute to the experience we’re looking for. Just another tool that we have to figure out how to use. So, yeah, let’s keep it cool and just code without too much AI interference.

  • LIM seems to be the latest addition to the Blender community, and well, it’s another tool. Life in Motion is supposed to be this lightweight way to animate your Blender characters. Apparently, it has nearly 360 ready-to-use animations. Not sure how much excitement that brings, but hey, if you’re into animating your characters in seconds, maybe it’s something worth checking out.

So, after eight long months of working on this project—coding, animating, UI stuff, and, apparently, an excessive amount of coffee—this developer has finally wrapped up LIM. The whole solo grinding thing sounds pretty intense, but honestly, it’s hard to muster up much enthusiasm about a new add-on for Blender. I mean, do we really need more tools?

I get it, it’s user-friendly and all, which is cool if you’re not into spending hours trying to figure things out. But let’s be real, how many tools do we need before it all just becomes a blur? The promise of quick animations sounds nice, but animation has never really been my jam. I guess if you’re a Blender enthusiast, you might find some use in it.

The project seems to have been a big deal for the creator, and that’s great for them. It’s always nice to see someone finish something they’ve worked hard on, but I can’t help but feel a sense of sameness with these add-ons. They come, they go, and we’re left with more options that we probably won’t use.

In any case, if you’re in the market for an animation toolkit, LIM might be worth a glance. Just don’t expect it to change your life or anything. Animation is still what it is, and no amount of ready-made animations is going to make it feel any less like a chore sometimes.

So, yeah, if you’re bored and have some time to kill, check it out, or don’t. Your call.
