So, there’s this event coming up, “Uncanny Valley” live show in San Francisco on September 9. They say it’s the first one. You can get tickets if you want. It’ll have this guy, Jack Conte, who is the CEO of Patreon, as a special guest. I guess that’s supposed to be interesting, or something. To be honest, not sure what to think about it. Live shows can be fun, but then again, sometimes they’re just… there. You might find yourself sitting in the audience, waiting for something to happen, and it just doesn’t. It’s like, should you really spend your time on something that might turn out to be just okay? If you’re into tech or whatever, maybe it’ll be worth it. I mean, “Uncanny Valley” sounds like it could be deep, or it could just be a lot of talk that doesn’t really go anywhere. Who knows? Es gibt da diese Sache namens Pursuit. Es ist eine Art Schnitzeljagd in San Francisco. Zwölf Quests oder so, und 12.000 Leute machen da mit. Man soll Hinweise finden, Rätsel lösen und vielleicht ein paar neue Freunde finden, aber wer hat schon die Energie dafür? Ich meine, klar, es klingt nach einem großen Abenteuer und so. Aber am Ende des Tages, wer möchte wirklich durch die Stadt rennen und nach Hinweisen suchen? Es gibt einfach zu viele Menschen und zu viel Lärm. Und die ganze Aufregung um diese Stadtweite Schnitzeljagd, die San Francisco angeblich „gegessen“ hat... Naja, ich weiß nicht. Die Idee von 12 Quests klingt ja schon irgendwie ermüdend. Da muss man sich mit anderen Leuten zusammentun, und was, wenn man einfach keinen Bock hat, mit Fremden zu interagieren? Die ganze Idee ist einfach ein bisschen viel, oder? Vielleicht ist es für einige Leute cool, aber ich könnte mir einfach auch einen Tag auf der Couch vorstellen, während andere durch die Stadt rennen. Also, wenn du Lust auf ein bisschen Aufregung hast, vielleicht ist das was für dich. Ansonsten, naja, es gibt immer die Option, einfach nichts zu tun.
